Day 17, 18th and 19th- Thankfulness

Hello,

Day 17- Thankful for lazy days. Got to sleep in and lay around in my PJ'S just a little longer. The weather was cold so it made it extra easy to do it.

Day 18- Thankful for the meeting the Lord gave us and thankful for good christian friends who are always there when you need them. Jonathan and I has a situation with the van. The top hose going to the radiator somehow got a hole in it. While coming home from church just getting off at our exit we started smelling this really bad smell. Praise the Lord he let it completely blew as soon as we got back to the place we were staying.  Thankful the Lord gave Jonathan the knowledge needed to take it off and again Praising the Lord for Josh a good friend who was able to come and not only help put it back on but also purchased the hose and antifreeze needed to put back in once new hose was put back on. Praying the Lord gives him an extra blessing for his very giving heart.

Day 19- Today I am Thankful for febreeze. The smell from yesterday kind of made the van smell so a little febreeze made it smell wonderful.

Thank you to all that take a moment to read na pray this will be a blessing to you.

Busy, Busy and Praising the Lord for it!!!

Greetings,

Wow The Lord has blessed us with a busy with meetings and many, many miles on the road.... But that me say I wouldnt want to change it for anything. What a mighty God we serve!!! Since my last post I was able to attend the Medical Missionary Intensive program at Equip in North Carolina. These 2 weeks were such a blessing and very informative. I had such a great time. I learned everything from basic first aid to delivering a baby. We also did various case studies where we got to diagnois what was wrong with the patient. It was a great 2 weeks. Please keep Jonathan and I in prayer as we fly into Haiti in January. I then will be able to put to use what I have learned. I am so excited to get to do that. While I was in class Jonathan and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversay. Jonathan was able to drive up to surprise me. It was so sweet he also bought me a dozen roses. These 4 years have been filled with lots of love, many blessings, lots of learning, some hardships but lots of love and laughter. I Thank the Lord each and everyday he has given Jonathan to me. I love you Jonathan. We have traveled to Ohio and then we were able to go home for a week or so and be at our home church's Homecoming. Evangelist Boyd Collins preached and Crosspoint String Band sang. What a great time we had. Praise the Lord one was saved too!!! Currently we are in Glen St Mary's,  Florida. Please keep us in prayer as we present tomorrow night. These last few month's the Lord has blessed us with 4 new supporters. God is able and still supplies.

On the road again........

Greetings from Louisiana,

Wow what an adventure it has been just Praising the Lord through it all. We left Florida Monday and wow did it rain very hard for the first 2 hours of the trip. Once we hit Alabama the rain was gone and boy could Jonathan but the hammer down as he calls it me not so much and wow could you believe there were so many State Patrol on the road but by the Grace of God we made it to Louisiana without incident and no tickets..... I only have one complaint it is so sooooo HOT! I can stay this is preparing us for Haiti and that I am happy about. This last couple of monthes we have had another church take us on for support. Wooohooo one more church closer. We have 1 meeting and a missions conference here in Louisiana and then it's back to South Carolina. Please keep us in prayer as we present our ministry for Haiti with these 2 churches. Also we received a call this morning from a Pastor received a huge blessing. Isn't it just like God to say HEY I'M STILL HERE. Hebrew 13:6 So that we may boldly say The Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man shall do onto me. I love the last part of verse 5 that say's I will never leave thee or forsake thee. Keep looking up today just might be the day!

Steven my Cousin

Today I am writing my blog in honour of my cousin Steven D Howard who officially has gone home to be with Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He had a long life with many struggles but the Lord saw fit to get him through each and everyone of them. Steven you will be hugely missed but were very loved by many while we had you here on earth. I am thankful the Lord saw fit to give you the time he did with us. I have to admit I am a little jealous you will be able to meet Our Lord and Saviour first. Please give Auntie Renee, My momma and Grandma and Grandpa great big hugs and kisses from me. Until we meet again,
Love you, Christina

Rain, Rain and more rain......

Greetings from the great state of Florida,

What can we say rain, rain and more rain. Praising the Lord for all this great rain. Haiti too was hit by Hurricane Issac. There were aprox 6 people killed and many, many tent cities destroyed. Some flooding has been reported and some landslides too. Lots of crops damaged this will effect them down the road as they will not have crops to sell. This is there lively hood. What is a bad situation is now even worse. Please keep our people in Haiti in prayer. Jonathan and I are currently in Jacksonville, Florida. This last weekend was beautiful and very warm. Today (Monday) the bottom dropped. It has rained non stop since last night. Tropical storm Issac was first predicted to hit most of florida head on but now as you can see the Lord saw fit to change its path and now it seems it will hit Alabama and Louisiana instead. Praising the Lord for no major issues thus far with the weather. Lots of rain and some wind. Also our hearts are heavy tonight for two reasons. The first reason my cousin Steven Howard who is in the hospital in a medical induced coma. Today they will turn off his breathing machine. He will be very much missed but there is comfort in knowing I will be able to see him again one day. Please keep them in Prayer. The second reason we have a very big unspoken that the Lord knows about. Please keep the Wall family in Prayer.
I hope all who read my blog enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. Thankyou again for taking a moment to read.

AN UNEXPECTED GUEST

An Unexpected Guest
If Jesus came to your house to spend a day or two
If He came unexpectedly, I wonder what you'd do.
Oh, I know you'd give your nicest room to such an honored guest,
And all the food you'd serve to Him would be the very best.
You would keep assuring Him you're glad to have Him there,
That serving Him in your very own home is a joy beyond compare.

But when you saw Him coming, would you meet Him at the door,
With arms outstretched in welcome for your heavenly visitor?
Or would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in,
Or hide some magazines and put the Bible instead
where they once had been?
Would you turn off the radio and hope He hadn't heard?
And wish you hadn't uttered the last abrasive, hasty word?

Would you hide your music and lay some hymn books out,
Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you wildly rush about?
I wonder if the Saviour spent a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing the things you always do?
Would you still utter the things you oftentimes say,
And would life for you continue as it does from day to day?
Would your family conservation keep up its usual pace,
Or would you find it nearly impossible to mutter a dinner's grace?

Would you sing the songs you always sing,
And read the books you read,
And let Him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed?
Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you'd planned to go,
Or would you, maybe, change your plans for just a day or so?

Would you gladly have Him meet your very closest of friends,
Or would you hope they'd stay off in the distance
Until His visit ends?
Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on,
Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone?
It might be interesting to know the things that you would do,
If Jesus Christ in the flesh came to spend some time with you.

It's been too long

It's been too long.......

These last couple of months have been busy. So thankful the Lord has allowed us to present in many churches. In June Jonathan and I had the chance to be in our annual mission candiate school this year. Each year they have ladies classes. This year Sister Terry Green taught a class on Hospitality. She read a book call Lackadaisical Love by Trish Rife. Let me tell you I have this book and have started reading it and already love it. Currently I am on the Hospitality is....selfless giving chapter. Hospitality is entertaining strangers or guests without reward, or with kind and generous liberality.

Philippians 2: 3&4
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

"Every man" in the above verse means every man and every women. We each have an obligation to look beyond ourselves and determine how we can impact someone else's life in a postive manner.
Jesus was consumed with others, and although we are sinners by nature and by choice, Jesus did not let the torturous circumstances and repercussions sway his decision to leave Heaven to come to our sin-saturated world. His sole motivation was others, and it was the motivating factor behind his actions. When we have a desire to better ourselves, God's example is always the best way.
Those who live for others have learned to place their own feelings on the back burner.
Here is another way to look at it "There are billions of planets revolving around billions of stars. They all revolve around one point in the universe, and that point is not you." And it's not me either!
Here are some small example's of Hospitality and kindness. A Pastor visiting your church. You could ask if there is a place they need to go or maybe they have laundry that needs to be done or clothes needed to be ironed. Remember Hospitality should leave the other person cared for, catered-to, and loved.
Have you been kind and go beyond what you would do for someone else. Im sure we could all work on this.
I hope this will be a blessing to someone and ask that you please continue to pray for Jonathan and I as we continue to travel and continue to visit churches and raise the support needed to get to Haiti. Asap.

Happy Mother's Day,

My Mom and Dad very young here
As Mother's Day approaches I just want to say Happy Mother's Day. Almost 9 years ago the Lord took my mom home. Each and everyday that goes by I miss her so much but I do have comfort in knowing I will get to be with her again one day and one day soon! I will always remember that Mother's day many years ago when my brother and sister and I were walking home from school. We lived in California that day we made bottle vases for our mother's at school and we were walking home and I can remember we heard gun shots and all of us dropped to the ground and I dropped that vase on the ground and when it hit the top broke. I was so sad and broken hearted. You know as a child our hearts tend to brake easily and we want things to be perfect! You know I gave that vase to my mom on mother's day and it made her face light up and she was so happy. That vase sat on her shelf for many, many years to come. A mother's love is unconditional. I'm greatful the Lord blessed me with 24 years with her. There are so many stories I could tell. I bet you could too. Let's remember to love our mother's and be there for them as they have always been there for us.

Greetings from Florida, These last couple of weeks have been busy traveling. We have been in Virginia and Tennessee and Florida and Georgia . My first blog!

Hello everyone! Yes I have decided to create a blog and oh how excited I am to do this. My hubsand Jonathan and I are currently on the Deputation trail on our way to Lapila, Haiti. We are very excited!!! Today was a great day. The Lord made a beautiful travel day! I love to see the beautiful sights the Lord has created! Let me share a few blessings with you. We had meeting this weekend in Tennesse and let me say it was very cold. Frost everywhere.

The Lord blessed Jonathan and I in a big way on Sunday morning.
On Febuary 2nd we fly out to go to Haiti for a month and we were 600.00 short for our tickets. Jonathan and I were praying and we gave that need to the Lord and on sunday morning this church blessed us with the rest needed for the tickets but also gave us a generous love offering as well. Praising the Lord for answer to our prayers! God is Good! This church also took us on for support! While driving another Pastor from a church we had not heard of for months called and said they to had collected money for our trip. We are just in awe of how good the Lord has been good to us and how undeserving we are.

I have learned so much thus far while being on deputation. There is so set way to do it but I have learned to be more compassionate to my hubsand and even a better listener and have lots of patients. I have learned always to make time for the Lord. Remember JOY J-Jesus first, Others-second and Y-You last. The Lord has given us a huge task but I know with the Lord anything is possible! Are you ready I know I am! These are a few of my thoughts tonight. I hope this will be a blessing. Please feel free to visit our website www.jwcwinhaiti.webs.com/.
