Hello from the Land of Haiti,


The Lord sure has been good to me and my family this year. Yes, we have had our trying moment's, but through it all we give Him the honor and Praise. As this year comes to a close we first and foremost we want to Thank you our Prayer warriors and Supporters, without all of you we could not do what the Lord has called us to do. So we Thank you.


Some highlight of 2016 were, Lord supplying the medicines needed to keep the clinic open. Getting 2 of the floors done in the clinic. Praying to finish it in 2017. 2 New churches were built, Bible School continues. Many souls saved.





We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for us in 2017. Working with the Child here in Haiti has always been on my heart. Besides getting to help them when they are sick. It will be neat to help and teach them in another avenue. Jonathan and I always have mothers, and fathers come to our gate and ask for help for there children. They ask is there any way we could help send and pay for there children to go to school. Here in Haiti, school is not free. It cost anywhere from 125 US to 300US, depending where the child goes to school and what grade they are in. Our prayer in 2017 is that we can get our reader's and supporters willing to sponsor a child. This helps them get the needed education to benefit themselves to get job's when they are older. We also hope to start a children's ministry. Where we have our local neighborhood kids come and we have Bible stories and have a time of fun and fellowship. We need to teach the kids about Christ. The kids are the future. We have many kids in our area., many who don't know Christ. Please pray for wisdom and guidance in this area.

Sharing my heart.....just a little

Greetings from Haiti,


As I sit here and erase and write and erase and write and truly not knowing what to write. Our day to day duties consist of many, many things. For me I first and foremost are a help meet or wife or even the right hand man to my hubby. From sun up to sun down I am always doing something. Some days are great and well some days are far to emotional to tell. I know we can not always help everyone but with the resources we do have we do what we can. Mondays our week starts out holding clinic which starts at 7:30 am. Let me tell you we have many people who trek hours just to be seen. They come to us because they can't afford to go anywhere else. My heart wants to do everything in my power to help each child, Mom and Dad and elder person we see, but my head tells me they waited to long, it may be too late and the only thing left to do is pray to the only one who can save them. Yes, we give medicines and clothes and food when we have it but that is not going to save them if its just too late. My heart breaks, but you know my God gets me through. Can we ask you to please pray for the clinic. Please pray the medicines will be sufficient to take care of all the illness we see. Please pray as we share the gospel and share love and care for them that the Lord will convict hearts and we will see people saved.
Second half of the day consists of school. The Lord opened the door for me to teach English. Jonathan and his dad teach all other courses. The Lord has truly blessed the supplies to teach. Its a fun job and I do enjoy doing it.
Sometimes I think Missionary wives feel there is not much place to do things in ministry but you know the Lord has a plan and he fits you in just where He wants you. As I said before I am a wife and help meet to my hubby and I love that job. My hubby always say if it wasn't for me he doesn't know where he would be. Please don't forget to pray for the wives. We sure do need them.

Our 2015 in review...........

Greetings from the beautiful land of Haiti,


Happy New Year!!! 


Here are a few highlights of our year of being in Haiti. Jonathan and I reached our first year March 20, 2015. We had our home broken into May 2015, Ventured to the US for a few short , fast weeks in the summer. Came back and the Bible school was back in full swing, starting the school year with 12 student, ending the first semester with 5. Praising the Lord for the 5 that stuck it out and will continue in January. We also had the opportunity to hold Pastors fellowships for our student and for the Pastors in the local area. What a great time the Pastors had. Jonathan and I spent our 2nd Thanksgiving and Christmas here in Haiti. A milestone we were able to move into our house, while our home is not perfect by any means we Praise the Lord for a roof over our head, while so many Haitians do not have one. This year we also added an addition to our family, Alfee, he is a 5 year old pug, and a  great addition to our little family. The Lord has blessed our clinic much this year. Without the faithful prayers and support of medicines from local churches and individuals it would be hard to do what we do here. We are truly blessed and forever Thankful. Our intake has grown to almost 20 on most days. Many tracks given and many requests for prayer and some saved and some that are saved asked for forgiveness for not living/doing right. God has been so good to us.
Our goals for 2016 is to see more souls to be saved, to eat better, and to blog more.

1-A few unspoken
2-Jonathan and I are looking into purchasing a truck for our ministry work in Haiti. Yes we have been barrowing Jonathan's dads truck, we feel the Lord is leading us to get a truck of our own. Please help us pray about this. We will see what the Lord's going to do.

Life as we know it...........

Greetings from the beautiful land of
La Pila, Haiti,

As some of you may had have heard we took a few weeks off to go to the states. We now have returned home. We arrive last Thursday. Flight was great. Asking you all to pray for our flight and customs and the Lord heard those prayers and customs was very kind with no charge. After getting everything on the truck and driving the few miles to our house. We arrived to tall grass but Praise the Lord all buildings were in tact and no break in's or damage. We set out on the long adventure of getting everything put away. We have been working on the house and getting it move in ready. Slowly but surely we should be moved in by the ending of the month. Oh and our newest addition to our house is Elfee, a 5 year old pug who loves to cuddle and play and had the cutes gremlin growl. We have hit the ground running, had a few issues with the internet but all seems to be working well now. Elections are this Sunday the 9th. Please be in pray for the country and also for or safety. We thank you all in advance for your prayers. We could not do what we do without them.

Life continues in the hot, humid tropical Island of Haiti woohoo with internet.......

Oh my word has it been so hot and humid. As some have heard we have been having internet issues. Praise the Lord we are back up and running. We now continue our days, Monday, Wednesday and Fridays in the clinic and Praise the Lord we have seen a major increase. We have had as many as 30 on some days and as low as 12. I have always prayed and asked the Lord If it is His will for me to continue this part of the ministry that has been going for close to 36 years then please supply the medicines and send me the people whom you would have me to help. Praise Him, He has. Isn't God Good!!!! The question has always been how can we help you best? Can we send money, can we send you medicine, empty medicine bottles. Greetings from the warm land of Haiti,
Today I write in remembrance of a great man who loved his family, fiancé, and children and someone who enjoyed life to the fullest. Wayne had a great personality, joked lots and made all who was around him smile. He was a man of wisdom whom had been though much through his short life. He had the opportunity to join the group that came to Haiti on the 26th of March 2015. He and the team had the opportunity to minister to the deaf children, hang up doors to the Bible school, start putting up our patio and work on one of the trucks. No matter what was asked he always did. I remember his smile and no matter what happen he always did smile and had a happy demeanor. I remember last year he and a couple of the other guys went out to Los Ma Moun (Lost my Moon) to hang doors and when he was getting out of the back of the truck somehow he hit his head on the top railing and cut it pretty good. The guys bandaged his booboo and very well I might add. When he got back to the compound we cleaned and fixed him right up. At that point a running joke started that he was not aloud to ride in the back of the truck with out a football helmet. Praise the Lord this trip no injuries.
Wayne was a good man with a big heart and he will be very missed. Please keep the family in your prayers as today he will be laid to rest.

Time passes by......

Greetings from the cloudy and windy land of Haiti,

Lots have happened since my last post. January 2015 came and we celebrated our New Year as well as the Haitian New Year. School started again after a few week break as what seemed to be our summer break not winter. We have had the opportunity to have 5 teams visit these last couple of months. What a blessing it has been to have them.They have served in many areas. Doing everything from teaching in the Bible school to helping in our clinic, helping install a pump so the whole compound can have water as well as many other things.We also now have our Permis de Sejour in hand and now this means we can stay in the country without having to exit every 90 days. March 20th, 2015 we celebrated our year anniversary here in Haiti. My how a year goes by while we are having fun. Our first year has taught us many, many things. Many Praises and Heart aches but no matter what happens God has been Good!!!!!

Our adventures getting our Permis Sejour

Greetings from One Thankful Missionary,

As I am sitting here writing this I just want to Praise the Lord for how good He is to us. The last couple of days have been a whirlwind. Our 90 day visa's expire in January, this would mean we are on crunch time to get all the needed items to get said resident permit. Praise the Lord we opened the Bank account needed , with a few glitches and 3 trips to Hinche but its open. We also were able to get the medical certificate very Thankful for another Missionary and his wife who walked us through the process and were able to get the test and results and paper needed in a span of 2 hours.

Jonathan and I got up bright and early this morning and drove the 3 1/2 hours  to Cap Haiti. Beautiful drive, seen lots of goats and pigs just hanging out in the middle of the road. We were able to take all of our paper work to the immigration office and now we wait for everything to be processed so we should have in hand in about 4 weeks. On our way home we ran into a couple of obstacles. We were just outside the city and on the road that takes us home, there were protesters and tires burning and the road was blocked they were throwing rocks. Now when this happens we don't even try to pass, it can become very violent. The United Nations came and they were unable to help as the people were throwing rocks and they drove away. We turned around and Jonathan wanted to take me to see the San Souci Palace so we drove and took a look. We were trying to get a hold of Jonathan's dad to see if there was another way we could go. As we were driving we started to hear a bad noise coming from the tire and it was shaking, we stopped and Jonathan got out and looked at the tire and he noticed the lug nuts had board into the rim.  One of the local Haitian guys came over and Jonathan and him looked at the tire and he said he could fix it. Now in Haiti that could mean anything. He went to his house and brought back some washers and put them on. We thought it was fixed, Jonathan started the truck and we started to drive off and the tire pops completely off. Here we are on this corner, half in the road about 10 people on the other side of the road watching. The same man comes back and takes a look at it again and this time he and the 5 other men watching jack up the truck. He did this 6 times and finally it worked they go put the tire back on and the washer, this time ones that fits and put the lug nuts back on and we go go. We get back in the truck, go back down the same road. The police came and dealt with the protesters from earlier and put the dirt back in the road. This time 5 ft from the other one they put huge banana leafs in the middle of the road, people blocking the road. Jonathan and I turn around again. Another missionary who was in the area and came to check on us was still up the road waiting on some people. We let him know that the road was again blocked. He and Jonathan decided they would drive down a little further and see how bad it really was. Praise the Lord the police were once again coming and they were behind us. We stopped and let them go ahead of us and we slowly edged our way closer. We saw them throw tear gas grenades at one home. They continued on and made the protestors disperse, they cleaned all the stuff out of the road way and after about 10 mins we were able to pass. Praise the Lord for this missionary as he followed behind us and make sure we made it back up the mountain without any more issues. We were able to make it home before dark. Thank you all for all the prayers. As we good not have made this trip or go through these things with out you.

Its Thanksgiving!!!!

Greetings from the warmer land of Haiti,

As I sit here and write this post the temperature is currently 81 degrees. Which means we may hit the low 90's by this afternoon. Yes it Thanksgiving but the weather makes it feel more like summer than fall. Here in Haiti, Thanksgiving is not an average Holiday that is celebrated. They simply go about there business and it just another day. For us Americans Thanksgiving is a very special day and for you in the states this day will be filled with family, friends and lots of Turkey and dessert. lol but for us on the field and yes it will be a little different for Jonathan and I as this will be our first Thanksgiving and Christmas on the field. We have a get together with other Missionaries on the field. We will have Pig, Turkey, stuffing and desserts among other things. I'm sure it will be a great day. Please pray for us as we miss our loved ones back home. In my English class the other day I was explaining why we as American's celebrate Thanksgiving and why this day is so very special. I explained how it all started with the Pilgrim's and the Indians and how they got together and broke bread and set there differences aside. Also how this Country (USA) was based on Godly principles and the Bible. Thanksgiving is a day where we express all we are Thankful for but I also told them we should be Thankful everyday not just at Thanksgiving. We need to Pray and Thank the Lord everyday. So today on this very special day I am Thankful for my hubby Jonathan. He completes me and he is my God given Helpmeet. I am also thankful for my salvation and for the grace I am given everyday. I am human and I do make mistakes and I'm Thankful for 2nd chances. I'm Thankful for Veteran Missionaries  (Fred and Joyce Wall) aka the in-laws for there wisdom and allowing us to come to Haiti and work with them. I am also Thankful for my parents, all they taught me growing up and giving me and showing me what love is and never giving up on me. So many other things I could say but there is a few. Question for you what are you Thankful for? Have you prayed and thanked the Lord for all the undeserving blessing he gives us each and everyday.

Life as it goes.........

Greetings from our far away land in Haiti,

Hope this day finds everyone well. Its been a week since I last updated so here it goes. Well a week ago Monday and yesterday (Monday) I opened the clinic for the first time by myself. Let me say a very scary task and not easy but I am always up for a challenge. Praise the Lord for the 5 people who showed up and then the 30 who came this Monday passed. Before we see them we hold church. Jonathan or maybe a visiting Preacher will preach. We tell them you came today for medicine for the body because you are sick, Let me tell you about the Great Physician The Lord Jesus that. Some come and just listen because they just want the medicines that they think will help and or cure them. But Praise the Lord there is always that one that is really listening and gets saved. Folks that's why we are here to give the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ to Our people. The door is open and we have many ears that are listening. Please keep the clinic and our patients in Prayer. We have a low supply of medicines and without medicines its hard to treat patients. Some ask how they can help there is a company called Map Travel which supplies medicines to missionaries in Foreign Countries. The cost you may ask is $500.00 plus $100.00 shipping and then freight of $1.60 a pound and then customs?????????????. Can I ask you to Pray with us about this need. Last Tuesday Jonathan and I had the opportunity to go on our first adventure to Cap Haitian, Haiti. This is the second largest city in Haiti. For the most part the ride was very bumpy and maybe a mile or two that was so smooth. Jonathan and I had the opportunity to fellowship with Missionaries in St Raphael Bro. Harry Peart. He rode with us and showed us where the Grocery store's are and where the Home Depot like store is. Got to see the Ocean and where Jonathan grew up as a kid with his parents who have been in Haiti for 35 years and still here. We also saw a view of the beautiful areas. It was a great knowledgeable adventure.

Here's how we go to church

Greeting's from Haiti,

Today is the Lord's day and what do we do we go to church. For most of you will wake up, eat breakfast , get dressed and hop in the car and drive on into Church. For most Haitian's it not like that at all. They wake up and for most they will not eat breakfast but will get dressed and go to church.  For most they travel by foot and sometimes travel hour's just to come to church. They walk through dirt road's, racket path's, through the river's and muddy stream's. Let me say this DOES NOT stop them. The father's will make sure there child and wife get across dry. Putting there babies on there heads, just so they can come to church. Life here is so very simple. Unlike our people we were able to have a hot breakfast. Unlike our people we were able to hop in the truck and drive the 8 miles. Praise the Lord for safety as we went off roading several times, went mudding too.
You may think 8 miles are nothing but with our road's here it really takes an 1hour and a half. We arrived at Las Ma Moon to be greeted with smiles and hug's. After we arrive we sing a few song's. Now Sunday school has begun and more people have arrived. See Haiti has no concept of time. So when the music begins our people know it's time to come to church. By the time Sunday school finishes the church is near full. Morning worship hour has began. Today my father in law preached on modesty. We Praise the Lord for a new day and being able to be in church and for safety. Below is picture's of our morning drive. Picture's will not do it justice. If you have any question's please ask. We have arrived!!!!!!!

Greetings in the very warm island of Haiti, 

Praise the Lord we have arrived!!! As most of you know we left Myrtle Beach to head to florida on sunday. We finished getting our groceries and went to Missionary Flights to bring our cargo to have it all weighed. We had 13 barrels, 8 totes and 3 suit cases a generator and 1 recling chair. Our total weight was 2600 lbs. We had asked for 1400 lbs but kind of went over. Praise the Lord we were able to get everything on the plane. Wednesday was a relaxation day and thursday of course we woke up bright and early. We arrived at the airport at 5:30am. We flew out at 7am. We arrived in country around 11:15am. Jonathan and I asked for prayer reguarding customs and how much they would charge us when we brought our belongs in. Let me just say your prayers were answered. The customs agent went through each and every items but Praise the Lord we only were charged $360.00. Aint God good. We had a great flight when we arrived it was in the 90's. Needless to say much hotter then Myrtle Beach. 
Its been a great first 2 days. Jonathan has a language teacher lined up. Please be in prayer as I learn the language.The Bible school is coming along great. 
We would like to thank you to all who lift us up in Prayer. Without that we would not be here.

April is here!!!!!

Greetings to all,

We are currently in Michigan. Last month when we were here there was lots of snow on the ground today just a little cold but the cold is cold. Praise the Lord NO snow .We are praising the Lord we received a new supporting church this month!!! Please pray as Jonathan and I have been under the weather I have a lingering cold which Praise God I am starting to feel a little better. We finish the month out in Pa and Tennessee. Then we get to be at home for a few weeks. Jonathan and I will be going back into Haiti in September Lord willing. We will be there for 3 months. Please pray as we get things ready for this trip. We have 2 unspoken prayer requests that we would also prayer with us about. The Lord knows all about these. Thank you in advance for that. 200,000 miles and counting!!!

Greetings from the road on the deputation trail,

Can you believe it we are now over 200,000 miles on our van. As we were leaving Tennessee Jonathan brings to my attention. Honey look we have reached our 200,000 mile mark. Can you believe it. Oh how amazed we are during those miles we have had to have the compressor replaced, many, many oil changes and new brakes put on and 2 or 3 flat tires along the way. Just Praising the Lord and oh so ever thankful of how he took care of us during these miles and how he continues to take care of us continuous through out each and every mile. Jonathan and I have an the opportunity to be in several churches these last 2 months. Praise the Lord for the new supporters too. Though out our travels we have seen lots of snow this year and very cold temperatures. Haiti temps are currently in the 90's. We cant wait to get back. Please continue to keep us in prayer as we travel.

Back in the USA..........

Greeting's from the USA,

Jonathan and I arrived back here a week ago Thursday. We have been on the go since we landed. Praise the Lord for safety through it all. Our trip to Haiti had it's up's and downs and we don't mean mountains. Lots was accomplished and Praise the Lord we had 9 people saved. We can't wait to get back. Please continue to keep us in prayer as we continue to travel up these highways and byways. Praising the Lord we have had many great meetings since being back and picked up a new supporter too. God is Good!!! We will continue to stay busy for the next couple of months. Thank you to all who pray for us day in and day out.

Snakes, Spider's and no Internet

Greetings from Lapila, Haiti,

Wow how time has flown by since we have been here. Our snakes have hidden themselves amongst the inside of the trees. We can't seem to find them but have found there shedding of there skin so we know they are sill there. Friday I found my first tarantula. I was on my way to the bathroom and I saw this back thing laying still on the floor and of course I am scared of spiders I run and get Jonathan he walks back there and says yep thats a tarantula. He got some spray and sprayed him and kicked him out the door. I dont think Jonathan has ever seen me run like that in a long time. Needless to say it was kind of funny. The parental units arrived safely with no problems friday. Bring in 1200lbs and Praise the Lord no charge from customs. Friday night we started having problems with our internet. Can't get on email, it loads very slow and the funny thing is can get on skype. This morning it seems to be working but not sure how long. Please pray it will be fixed soon. Sunday Jonathan was able to preach and we sang a song in english to them. After services we handed out candy. This was a real treat for these kids as they dont just go down to the local store and buy some. Thank you to our home church and a few others who gave the candy for us to give out. We also have a huge praise we found out there will be a team here in March who will be replacing our roof on our house. Praising the Lord for that. Please continue to keep us in Prayer.

Parental units to arrive soon.........

Good morning from Lapila, Haiti,

The sun is up and the wind is blowing lightly. Oh how thankful I am the Lord gave me another day. We both are up bright and early. Our snake hunter aka Jonathan is still looking for our friendly snakes but I think they are tried of him trying to find them so they have hidden themselves amongst the trees. I personally thinks thats great. Over the weekend we went and surveyed our house. We are so excited. There are a few things that need to be down. One being the roof. It is in bad shape. Cost for that materiels and all including ceiling tiles are 6500.00. Please pray with us reguarding that.  Jonathan and I are working on things around the compund. Tomorrow Jonathan's dad and mom return. Next week the clinic will open and I have the opportunity to work in the school. That I am truely excited too. Please continue to keep us in prayer as we are here.

Snakes, Snakes and more snakes.........

Greetings from Lapila, Haiti,

Can anyone say snake. Well I can Jonathan happen to be out last night and looking up in the tree and found a snaking coming out of the hole in the tree. Well today we found a couple more. So I think that makes a total of six he has found. After doing some research we found out that it happens to be mating season for the snakes here. So we probably see more. So please pray that the Lord protects us from the boas we have in the trees. We took a few pictures and will post later. Yesterday Jonathan and I went to church down in Gran Latanya. Jonathan had the opportunity to preach. I am starting to understand certain words more and more. Praising the Lord for that. The weather is beautiful here. Today I went out to the clinic and put all the items we brought in with us away. We open clinic here next week and I am looking forward to it. The Lord has greatly blessed with lots of match box cars, toys, clothes and blankets to give away while clinic is open. Very thankful to all who gave. Thank you to all who pray for Jonathan and I each and everyday.

Yea we made it!!!!!!!

Greetings from the beautiful Lapila, Haiti,

Let me just start by saying God is Good all the time and All the God is Good. Wednesday Jonathan and I finished up all our food shopping and took our luggage to MFI where it was weighed. Praise the Lord we only had 389 in weight it was well under what we thought we would have. Praise the Lord and everything was able to go on the plane with us. Jonathan and I woke up bright and early this morning drove to the airplane hangar and we boarded a DC-3 headed towards Haiti. When we left Florida it was very foggy. The plane ride was a little bumpy over the Bahamas but after that it was a very smooth ride. We landed in Cape Haitian to clear immigrations then back on the plane for our last stop Pignon, Haiti. Customs allowed us to go through with NO CHARGE Praise the Lord!!!!! We must say thank you for all who prayed today. Without your faithful prayers we would not be where we are today. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!! Its been a long but good day and I am so very thankful to the Lord for allowing Jonathan and I to be here.
